How it all began
Dragonfly was founded by our now Executive Chairperson, Nigel Sharp, in 2017. At the time, it was a long time coming with our founder having an extensive history in positive change-making investments and the founding of impact ventures. At its foundation, Dragonfly’s focus was to capture the opportunity to invest in exceptional founders and operators via venture capital investment.
Since then, somewhat under the radar, Dragonfly has grown to be a leader in impact investment, with currently around 20 impact assets within its portfolio and counting.
In 2021, Dragonfly joined its forces with Ananda Investment group, and subsequently appointed its founder, Adam Tucker, as Dragonfly's Chief Executive Officer. Whilst both Nigel and Adam had moved in similar circles within the impact investment landscape for several years, it was this chance coming together as co-investors on a transaction that prompted them to form the next incarnation of Dragonfly Enviro Capital.
From that moment, Dragonfly has continued to thrust forward as a leading impact investment company, working to leave the world and humanity in a better place than it was received in our generation.
